A Long While

It's been a really long while since I last posted on this blog. I have been busy with my new blog, Orinity dot com. The blog is basically a shopping blog. I don't expect the blog to be as successful as the pro-bloggers in the United States or Canada but I do see Orinity as my new oulet to post interesting pieces of articles and to pass on information that people will be happy to know.

I am still alive and kicking. Life is good and well for me in 2007 and I hope my good luck continue into 2008. =p

Orinity.com Approaches

It's been a few years since I have taken up Orinity as the name for my blog and it's been a wonderful few years on Blogger. I believe the time has come for me to move on from here. I have finally taken the step forward towards Wordpress and away from Blogger. I hope things will turn out fine with me. I will be preparing for my final exams as well as working on new blog design on the new domain. It will not be just me in the future but there will be Cyrene alongside me on the scene. We will be out to challenge XiaXue? haha! I hope so but we are definitely not going down that line.

Disappointing vPost

I used to make my bill payments for my mobile phone and internet through vPost. However, it seems that vPost is foolish enough to implement a new policy of accepting only credit cards. So vPost decided debit card users are not rich enough for them? Alright, I will just switch over to using my POSB iBanking to pay my bills then. What puzzled me is that there are so many emerging web services trying to get people to use their bill payment services and yet vPost decided to make such a dumb policy. It may be due to fraud but shouldn't locally issued debit cards be accepted as well?

Move Initiated!

Yes, I have finally taken a step forward to move my blog to a domain instead of residing on Blogger's subdomain. However, I have decided to monetize my new blog so I am printing out a free eBook from JohnChow.com to read up before I move the blog over. I am hoping to run WordPress on the new version instead of Blogger. Blogger has served me well since 2003. However, I feel that it is more limited in terms of functionality and it is more of a starting point for new bloggers and less tech-savvy bloggers. As the eBook is 59 pages long, I think I will be shopping for printer ink soon.

I haven't set myself any deadline to complete the move since my final exams is around the corner. It will be good not to concentrate too much on my websites and more on my degree.

Time Flies

Where did all the time go? I turned around and October is here and I am only 3 weeks from my examinations. I have my Accounting paper on 25th of this month. I thought I haven't been updating my blog regularly so I decided to come in to drop an entry just to let people know that I am still alive. Last Saturday saw me celebrating 2 months together with my girlfriend. I will post the photos up when I am done with the uploading (laziness!). I have been taking quite a bit of videos of my RMIT clique lately due to their dramatic antics that forces me to capture them and have a good laugh after that. As always, laziness cripples my ability to upload my videos as well. I really need a bluetooth dongle to upload with ease. I don't like messing around with the wires and cables.

A First Day At Work

The past week was rather carefree since my mid-semester test papers are over but my week ahead look to be a packed week as I start on my new part-time job as an Admin Assistant. I woke up to a really wet morning with the rain pouring outside. I had to go with only 5 hours of sleep as I was working late the night before with some coding improvements for the current version of AnimeArk. Somehow, I managed to drag myself out of bed and head to work at Aljunied which is about slightly over an hour of traveling time for me. I was busy with administrative paperwork until I knocked off at 12.30pm to head to the campus for my afternoon macroeconomics lecture. It was fun and hilarious as always. My lecturer, Sami, never fails to crack me up! Back to my job, the company I will be working for is SAG Components. It is a really small firm, almost one-man show by my boss, I supposed.

I hope the part-time job will not wear me out.

After Catching Up On New Man

Since I started my degree course from last July, I had been busy with school, army, project work and my personal web projects. So much was going on that I have to give up on reading my National Geographic and New Man magazine subscriptions. I finally found a bit of time today to catch up on the back issues. I have the tendency to do things orderly and in sequence so I am back to reading the August 2007 issue when I have received both the September and October issues. As usual, National Geographic stunned me with their usual showcase of awesome photos that I can only dream about taking. Their photos are just too unbelievable. Anyway, I came across something known as Brow Construction on New Man August 2007 and it will cost me S$15. I wonder what it is like to actually go 'define your brows to give your face more strength'. Maybe I will give it a shot when I feel richer. There's also the mention of a certain hairdressing salon whose hair-colour service is getting some rave reviews. Again, I feel like colouring my hair all over again. It's been a while since I have coloured hair.
